About the INTO Queen's University Belfast Center

The Study Center at INTO Queen's University Belfast will be one of the first places you visit when you arrive. It's close to everything on campus, from the library to the Students' Union, so you'll become part of the university from day one.

Most of your pathway classes will be held here, right in the heart of the university’s campus – and it's been designed with you in mind, with plenty of spaces for group work and quiet study.

You'll find excellent facilities at the INTO Center, including:

  • modern classrooms with the latest technology

  • lots of spaces for quiet reading, studying and group work

  • the student support team, who can help you with any problems

  • the Learning Resource Center

  • a garden area with seating to socialize with friends between classes.

The Learning Resource Center at INTO Queen's University Belfast has a wide range of books, journals and other study materials to support your learning. Whether you need to type up your notes, photocopy from a book or print off your essay, you can do it all here.

Whether you fancy a relaxing lunch with friends or a solo study session with a coffee, the INTO Center's Café Carberry is the perfect place to refuel after class.

You'll find a selection of delicious meals, snacks and drinks on offer – including toasties, soups and sandwiches. For those with special dietary requirements, there are vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and halal options available.

As an INTO student, you'll also have access to the University's range of fantastic facilities:

  • The McClay Library - Queen's University Belfast's award-winning, state-of-the-art McClay Library.

  • Physical Education Center - facilities here include two swimming pools, a modern, fully equipped gym and badminton, tennis and baseball courts.

  • Students' Union - a vibrant building with eateries, coffee shops and more than 200 clubs and societies to join.

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA)

QAA, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, is an independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK higher education. The main objectives of QAA are setting and monitoring the standards of UK higher education, including the development of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education.

British Council

The British Council, founded in 1934, was created to promote a wider knowledge of the UK and the English language abroad and to develop closer cultural relations between the UK and other countries. Accreditation of courses is based on a number of expectations by the British Council as laid out in the British Council Accreditation Handbook.
