Employability focus

On the edge of London’s financial district, INTO City is perfectly located for career-focused students – you’ll be immersed in professional life, with plenty of potential employers on your doorstep!

To help set you on the path to career success, INTO City is embedding employability into its English for Academic Purposes module across all pathway programs – helping you develop the language competency and transferrable skills and competencies you need for a highly successful career.

Not only that, but you’ll also build a career development portfolio to showcase your employability skills, meaning you’ll stand out when applying for internships and placements.

INTO City, University of London's facilities offer a flexible approach to learning in contemporary surroundings. You’ll benefit from:

  • digital whiteboards connected to desktop computers in every classroom, to make lessons truly interactive

  • multipurpose lecture theatres

  • state-of-the-art IT and multimedia

You'll have access to Moodle, a virtual learning environment where you can download lecture notes and course content. Additionally, teaching of the International Foundation programme is supported by the use of tablet computers (such as iPads) to enhance your classroom experience through digital learning.

The Learning Resource Center is situated on the first floor of the INTO City, University of London Center. This study space is where you'll find materials to aid your studies including textbooks, DVDs, CDs, newspapers, and printing and scanning facilities.

For further study, the university library is situated a 25-30 minute walk from the Center, and London also has the Barbican Library and City Business Library, which are easy to get to and offer public access.

When you're hungry, there's a café on the third floor of the building serving a selection of sandwiches, drinks and snacks – the perfect place to relax with your new friends over breakfast or lunch.

As an INTO student, you'll also have access to the University's range of fantastic facilities:

  • CityLibrary - The University library, home to more than 350,000 books, 25,000 journals and specialist collections.

  • CitySport - The largest student sports facility in central London, with all of the modern, high-tech equipment you would expect from a new sports and fitness centre.

  • Drysdale Building - Home to the Careers Service, your one-stop-shop to discuss career options and access support to enhance your employability.

  • Engineering laboratory - Available to INTO students on an Engineering pathway. Includes flight deck, motion simulators, wind tunnels, micro turbine, optical compressors and more.
